Travis Kline '03 is designing a home in Queensbury, NY, that will be heated by non-fossil fuel sources. Instead, solar and geothermal energy will be used to power the furnace and for the home to be a net-zero energy buillding. Kline says that he is "a proponent that design can help determine how people live."

Marianne Cusato '97, designer of the Katrina Cottages and author, has started blogging for the Huffington Post on real estate and home design trends. Her first post focuses on passing trends in residential architecture, and making sure that the money and time a homeowner is committing is worth the price and the test of time. Roland Tang '83 has been appointed Director of Business Development for Shawmut Design and Construction in Boston. He joined Shawmut in September 2011 after serving as the Director of Business Development at Erland Construction.
